Familiarity with the Higher Education environment, academic cycles, and contemporary pedagogic practices is essential. Additionally, you should possess experience in people and resource management, with a strong understanding of organisational and coordination skills to ensure efficient utilisation of technical resources. You will possess a BA (or equivalent qualification) in either Art, Design, Performance, or a related field, with specialist knowledge relevant to the designated Programme area, as well as experience of Fine Art making within the specialism of the role. Your expertise and insights will contribute to the continual development of technical resources and learning activities, creating a positive and inclusive experience for both students and staff within a nurturing learning environment. Working closely with Programme Directors and Course Leaders, you will ensure effective technical resource arrangements and progressive working relationships across the Courses developing a culture of mediated and facilitated cross-programme engagement to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.Īdditionally, you will actively engage with the subject ethos and academic ambition within the Programme. You will also line manage and support a group of Specialist Technicians, ensuring a collaborative and supportive team environment. Operating as a key member of the Programme Team, you will utilise your technical and subject specialist knowledge to proactively facilitate and coordinate the flow of learning activities within studios and workshops for the Sculpture, Photography and Computational Arts Programme.
